About Star Refuse

In 2018, the Star family chose to extend their services to commercial waste collections.
We now work with some of the largest holiday home rental agencies as well as individual second home owners, in St Ives and the surrounding areas.

Star is an experienced waste collector, fully insured, and registered with the Environment Agency (Registration number CBDU449152).

On the day you request (apart from Sunday), Star will collect your refuse and recycling and line your wheelie bin with a wheelie bin liner so your new guests are presented with a clean bin on their arrival. Our refuse service is available six days a week, Monday to Saturday and collections start from 10am.

Star will work closely with you to select a refuse service that is most suitable for your property's requirements, whether it be a one-off collection, a collection on departure day or a regular weekly/monthly collection, Star can accommodate your needs.

After the recyclable materials are removed, all the remaining waste is incinerated and turned into electricity; nothing goes to landfill.

Pricing
Our most popular price plan is “pay as you go”; in other words, you just pay for each black bin bag of refuse/recycling that we take away. The amounts are recorded and invoiced to you at the end of the month.

For busy lets, we offer a year’s contract, paid in advance and Star can talk you through this to see if this is the best option for you.
Man And A Van
Star can take away your old mattresses, furniture, tumble dryers, washing machines, dishwashers and more. Just give us a call to book an appointment.

Unfortunately, we cannot take away fridges or freezers.
End of Tenancy Clearance
Star offers an end of tenancy clearance service which, as well as clearing the inside of the property, can include the outside sheds, garages, garden etc.

Builder’s Waste
Star is available to take away builder’s waste.

Lockable Wheelie Bins
Star can supply 240 litre wheelie bins with a lock and have a stock of spare keys. Please ask for a price.
